It has ever been known as China’s oldest wine and brandy producer. In 1915 Changyu was awarded a gold medal at the Panama-Pacific World Expo in San Francisco and soon enjoyed international recognition for its Brandy.

K O Y A, served at state banquets and being a popular gift amongst diplomatic circles, is now on its Long March around the globe. 128 years after its foundation in Yantai, Shandong province, China’s finest Brandy is set to conquer the world. It complements beautifully the wines of Chateau Changyu Moser XV.

K O Y A is produced at the state-of-the-art chateau bearing its name. It is located on the Shandong peninsula, outside the beautiful city of Yantai, surrounded by the East China Sea. This area is the historical center of viticulture in China – benefitting from its moderate and maritime climate conditions. Chateau K O Y A is surrounded by 60 ha of vineyards planted with the classic Cognac grape variety Ugni Blanc. Its Brandy is produced with traditional Charentaise style pot stills and copper Alambics Armagnacais. The aging is done in French barriques, only from the finest Limousin oak.
The Chateau is managed by Mrs. Zhang Baochun, Changyu’s longstanding Master Distiller, responsible for all brandys at this prestigious house. Mrs. Zhang Baochun is a living legend in China already. She is the
mastermind behind the quality and style of K O Y A. International recognition of her outstanding proficiency was achieved lately when K O Y A XO won a blind tasting against the equivalent products of major Cognac brands, organized by the renowned Drinks Business Magazine at Prowein 2019.
